RESEARCH INTEREST GROUPS
Genetic/Genome Engineering and Emerging Technologies
Members of the Genetic/Genome Engineering and Emerging Technologies (EET) RIG are interested in genome engineering, transgenics, biotechnology and synthetic biology. The EET RIG includes over 60 members representing six colleges. Examples of research interests for this group include: identifying, developing and applying new CRISPR/Cas technologies, engineering microbial genomes for biochemical production, transgenic strategies for studying plant and animal biology, and genetic-based disease therapies. This RIG hosts seminar speakers focused on new and emerging technologies from both academia and industry.
